What is Cobblemon Irisian Edition ?

 

Cobblemon Irisian Edition is a modpack that is Cobblemon oriented with multiples addons that I put together for my survival Cobblemon community server. With a few friends, I curated a selection of mods, datapacks and ressourcepacks to shift the gameplay in a way we like.

I'm always on the lookout for new things to add on the server and so this pack will be shifting and updated whenever there has been enough changes to the gameplay on our server.

The main goal is to catch and train, while defeating players added by Radical Cobblemon Trainers to allow your team to evolve and learn moves along the way. Make friends, build, catch, breed, sleep and repeat !

The server adds on the already existing presets for legendary Pokémon and Myth and Legends and the original loots from Cobblemon, using customized loot tables made by moi. I plan on tweaking and shifting the loots available based on the player experience on the server.

We also have some unique forms from the Cobblemon Alatia's Fakemon Pack, such as an Alatian Shinx, Klink, Litwick and much more. The pack is fully active on the server so you will also find many new Pokémon. You can see for yourself with these screenshots.

Why the name Irisian ?

 

I'm Belgian, and I wanted something to represent my country. Brussels, our capital, is represented by a specific kind of lily flower called the iris flower. I used this historic symbol mixed with the Cobblemon logo to make something that represents the core values of my country, our server and hopefully this modpack.

That's why most commands on the server are disabled so that people will, by nature, stick together and play on and on for hours relying on each others. I want to encourage the relationships between players instead of relying on random teleports to discover the world. 

What are the key additions of this modpack ?

• Myth and Legends for a far more balanced legendary catching experience
  
  
• CobbleDollars with Hunt implementations alongside a modified and every-updating trading villager from the Cobblemon mod. Changes are made to add items or finetune the prices as we play
  
  
• Mega Evolutions and Z Stones are also available to allow players to experience the game to the fullest
  
  
• Biomes'O'Plenty is used for map generation to give a sense of grandeur to the map generation

This description will be updated and I also plan on adding some customized forms in the future, base on cultural references from Belgium, but that's still in the works and I don't have much to show for now.
