Distant Ores - Sky Islands
A preset datapack for Distant Ores designed for sky island worlds. Removes vanilla underground ore generation and replaces it with sky-altitude generation (Y 60–350), so ores actually appear in the islands you explore.
Coal and iron still generate underground for players who dig below. You will not find gold, redstone, lapis or diamond under Y 60 !
Rarer ores scale with distance from spawn - copper and iron appear early, while gold, redstone, lapis, and diamonds unlock the further out you travel.
Andesite also spawns from Y 60 upwards to support Create gameplay a bit more.
This datapack was designed for Aetherial Islands, specifically the Skylands Over the Sea variant, but it will work with any sky island generation mod, in theory!
Requires the Distant Ores mod.
