Boxed Villagers
Capture villagers in performance-saving scrolls and trade with them. Free Minecraft Java mod for 1.17.

use scrolls to capture villagers. Villagers captured in this way
keep all of their trades and can be traded with like usual (by right clicking with the scroll in hand) and still
restock their trades daily.
This has several benefits. Once a villager is captured, it does not exist as an entity anymore and thus has no AI that brings down performance, which also eliminates frustrations with unreliable restocking behavior. However, note that capturing a villager is irreversible.
BoxedVillagers also features a Witch Doctor UI, which allows players to purchase unbound scrolls, cure villagers for price reductions and unlock trade slots.
BoxedVillagers offers a range of configuration options, like customizing the prices for various operations in the Witch Doctor UI. Courtesy of Vault, not just basic resources but in-game money is also supported as cost. For full details on configuration, look at the comments in config.yml.

What about support for other languages?
Officially, BoxedVillagers is only available in English, however using the strings.yml file any player-visible text can be changed.
