Damaging Darkness
Damaging Darkness is a anti-Xray plugin inspired by this forum post and developed to passively prevent users from using X-Ray hacks by damaging them when they mine without any light sources around them.
Note
The plugin does not prevent X-Ray hackers from using the hack. It simply makes it much more difficult for them to use it, and hopefully make it so difficult that they will simply not use it.
How does it work?
Using the premise that people that use XRay plugins when they mine also do not use torches or other light sources and the fact that all effective XRay mining occurs in low Y levels, we are able to prevent players from easily using XRay hacks.
When a player is underground below a certain Y-Level(Editable in the config) and his head block has a light level below a certain number (Editable in the config), he will have health deducted(Amount is editable in config) from him every set number of seconds.(Editable in config)
