Before the 23w40a update, the first 1.20.3 snapshot, the shield animation in the game used to be different. The third person shield arm position wawa changed in this update and many players would prefer it to be reverted back. Old Shield Animation Mod reverts these changes, so that the old shield animation is displayed in the newer versions of the game.
