Builders Assistant

Builders Assistant is similar to the debug stick but safe to use in a survival server. It won't provide players any unfair advantage such as changing the dye color, but will allow easy rotation/configuration of existing blocks.
Right click blocks with either a gold axe or gold pickaxe (based off the material they are made of) to rotate or manipulate the block.
Correct those misplaced stairs. Point the hopper output or piston into the correct orientation. Curve that rail line to the direction you intended. Add arms to your armor stand and give them weapons.
