Micle's Totem of Reviving Mod (1.21.1, 1.20.1) – Make Hardcore Mode More Forgiving

Micle’s Totem of Reviving Mod adds two new totems to Minecraft, which allow you to resurrect a friend when playing in Hardcore mode. You could say this mod makes Hardcore mode easier. The mod adds 2 types of totems: the straw totem and the diamond totem. Both work in a similar way but have different crafting costs. However, the straw totem has a certain chance of failure, so don’t take unnecessary risks.

  • Straw Totem: A cheaper option for early-game reviving but comes with a chance of failure.
  • Diamond Totem: More expensive but reliable, with no charge limits.
• Totems need to be charged using specific items. Players hold the charging item in one hand and the totem in the other, then right-click to charge.
• Players can select a resurrection target by pressing Shift + right-click on the totem.
• After a player dies, they must switch to spectator mode. The totem is then activated to bring them back to life.
• The mod allows for configuration of totem durability, charge costs, and other settings.

How to use:

• Unlike the vanilla Totem of Undying, these totems do not need to be held in your hand. You need to charge the totems using charging items. To do this, place the charging item in your left hand and the totem in your right hand, then right-click. To perform a resurrection, you need a certain amount of charge.
• After charging, you need to select a resurrection target. Press Shift + right-click, and you’ll be able to choose the desired player. Once your friend has died, they should switch to spectator mode, and you need to activate the totem. Voilà! Your friend will be alive again. Genius!
• The mod is, of course, a bit unusual and controversial, and is only useful in Hardcore mode and only when playing with friends.
