Tax Free Levels Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Make Enchanting & Repairing Gear Far More Forgiving

Tax Free Levels Mod simplifies the level progression system, making anvil and enchanting table usage more accessible at higher levels. In the vanilla game, the cost of enchantments and item repairs using the anvil increases exponentially as the player’s level rises, making those actions extremely expensive. This mod fixes that by setting the cost of those actions to a constant value, regardless of the player’s current level. It also removes the “Too Expensive!” limit on anvils and sets the cost to rename an item at just 1 level.

In vanilla Minecraft, the more experience you have, the more expensive it becomes to enchant or repair items. This mod aims to smooth out the curve of increasing anvil and enchanting costs above level 30, so you’ll always pay a fixed price regardless of how high your level is.

Features:

• Instead of paying more XP as your level increases, the mod calculates costs based on a fixed XP amount. For example, if an enchantment costs 3 levels, you’ll always pay the XP needed to go from level 0 to 3-no matter your current level.
• Renaming items always costs just 1 level, making personalization easy and affordable.
