Burn In The Sun Mod (26.1.2, 1.20.1) – Custom Sun Burn Entities

Normally, only undead mobs like skeletons and zombies burn when exposed to sunlight. Burn In The Sun Mod expands that behavior and lets you fully control who burns in the sun.

Features:

• Makes normally immune mobs burn in sunlight
• Fully configurable via a config file
• Enable sun burning for:
  • Specific mobs
  • Players
  • All mobs from a selected mod
• Optional global setting to make all living entities burn in the sun
• Simple entity and mod ID-based configuration
• Server-side only (no client installation required)

Configs:

With the default configuration unchanged, even chickens will burn. They are enabled as an example so new players can easily understand how the system works.

Configuration is required to customize the mod. Using the config file, you can choose exactly what is affected.

• You can make sunlight burn:
  • Specific mobs (any living entity)
  • Players
  • All mobs from a specific mod (by mod ID)
• Global option:
  • Enable a special setting to make every living entity burn in sunlight.

This mod can run on the server side only, meaning clients do not need to install it.

Edit the configuration file to adjust behavior using entity names or mod IDs, for example: minecraft:chicken
