Broadswords | Custom Weapons

Bring heavy, tactical melee combat into Minecraft Bedrock with a custom line of broadswords.

This add-on introduces a series of heavy broadswords, starting with the Cobalt Broadsword. These weapons change the combat dynamic by introducing a heavier, slower swing style with sweeping strikes that can hit multiple targets in a cone in front of you, and a defensive guard mechanic that lets you parry incoming attacks to mitigate damage and knock back attackers.

Features

• Sweeping Strikes: Direct melee hits deal sweeping damage and knockback to all mobs in a 60-degree cone in front of you, showing a slash sweep particle.
• Defensive Guard: Hold the use button (right-click / screen tap) to raise the blade, reducing all incoming damage by 40%, playing a parry sound, and knocking back attackers.
• Heavier Melee Balance: Deals high base damage (8 damage) with a slower cooldown to encourage timing and positioning.
• Craftable & Enchantable: Fully integrated into vanilla survival, can be repaired with diamonds, and accepts standard sword enchantments.

How to use

Craft the Cobalt Broadsword, equip it in your main hand, and use it for standard attacks to trigger sweeping strikes on nearby clusters of enemies.

To block attacks, hold down the use button. You will enter a defensive stance (slowing your movement by 30%) and block 40% of incoming damage. Any attacker that hits you in melee while you block will receive knockback.
