What is BetterHome?

BetterHome brings the iconic DonutSMP home GUI to your Paper server.
Each home slot is shown as a colored bed — with a matching dye below.
Red dye = home is set. Click it to open a delete confirmation.
White dye = empty slot. Click it to set a new home at your position.

No menus to navigate, no commands to remember — just open /home and click.

Core Features

Visual GUI — DonutSMP Style
A chest GUI opens with /home, showing your home slots in a 3 + separator + 3 grid.
Each home = a colored bed (teleport on click) + a dye below (delete on click).
Empty slots show a white bed + white dye so you always know how many homes you have left.
Compact 4-row layout for small limits, expandable 6-row with paging for many homes.

Permission-Based Tier System
Configure exactly how many homes each permission level gets:
Default Tier: 1 free home, 2 additional homes buyable
VIP Tier: 3 free homes, 4 additional homes buyable (800 cost each)
Premium Tier: 5 free homes, 5 additional homes buyable (500 cost each)
Elite Tier: 10 free homes, 6 additional homes buyable (250 cost each)
Unlimited Tier: Unlimited homes, no purchase needed

Each permission tier has its own pricing — encourage upgrades!

Enhanced GUI Display
The header item now shows tier information and slot breakdown:
Shows which tier player belongs to (VIP, Premium, etc.)
Displays free slots vs. purchased slots clearly
Shows how many more slots they can buy
Perfect for players to understand their limits at a glance.

Buy Slots from the GUI
When a player reaches their home limit, a Buy Slot button appears (if tier allows it).
Click the diamond block with cyan dye to purchase a new home slot instantly.
Purchase fee is tier-specific — configurable per permission level.
All purchases are permanent and persist across server restarts.
Cannot exceed tier's maximum buyable slots — built-in limits prevent abuse.

Edit Homes Without Deleting
Shift+Click any home bed to open the edit menu — no need to delete and recreate!
Update your home's position, rotation, yaw, and pitch in real-time.
Use the ↻ Set to Current Location button to instantly save your exact spot.
✔ Save Changes applies immediately · ✘ Cancel discards edits.
Changes persist to disk automatically.

Delete Confirmation
Clicking the red dye opens a separate 3-row confirmation GUI.
Green glass = confirm delete · Red glass = cancel — no accidental deletions.

Set Home Directly from GUI
Click any empty slot → GUI closes → type the name in chat → home is set at your position.
Type cancel to abort. The GUI reopens automatically after.
World blacklist protection applies — homes cannot be set in restricted worlds.

World Blacklist System
Administrators can block home creation in specific worlds.
Simply list world names in config.yml — homes cannot be set or updated there.
Perfect for restricting homes in nether, the_end, lobby worlds, or any custom world.
All methods protected: commands, GUI buttons, position edits, and chat input.

PlaceholderAPI Integration
Display home statistics anywhere on your server using placeholders!
Shows current homes, max homes, available slots, and limit status.
Perfect for TAB lists, scoreboards, and chat plugins.
Available Placeholders:

Vault Economy System
Players can purchase additional home slots directly from the GUI!
Fully integrated with Vault — works with any economy plugin (EssentialsX, CMI, etc.)
Each permission tier can have a different slot price.
Example: VIP players pay 800, Premium players pay 500, Elite pay 250.
Encourages server economy and player progression.
✦ Optional: Works without Vault — buying is disabled if not installed

Warmup Countdown
A configurable countdown title (3 → 2 → 1) plays before teleporting.
If the player moves during warmup, the teleport is cancelled.
Cooldown between teleports is also configurable.

Paging for Many Homes
Up to 12 home slots per page (6-row inventory, two groups of 3).
Navigation arrows appear automatically when more pages are needed.
Seamlessly navigate between pages without closing the GUI.

100% Configurable
Everything is configurable in config.yml — no recompiling needed:

Commands

/home — Open the GUI (alias: /homes)
/home <name> — Teleport directly to a named home
/sethome [name] — Set a home at your current position
/delhome <name> — Delete a home by name
/buyhomeslot — Buy an additional home slot (alias: /buyslot)

All commands have tab-completion for your home names.

Setup

1. Drop BetterHome-1.0.5.jar into your /plugins folder and restart
2. Assign betterhome.tier.vip (or other tiers) to your player groups
3. Configure config.yml to customize tier limits, prices, and world blacklist
4. (Optional) Install PlaceholderAPI and add home placeholders to your TAB plugin
5. Players type /home and everything works out of the box!

No commands to learn, no complex setup — it just works!
