No Fire Overlay (Mod)

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Fabric only.

⬇ Download for 1.21.6–1.21.8⬇ Download for 1.21.5⬇ Download for 1.21.4⬇ Download for 1.21.2–1.21.3⬇ Download for 1.21–1.21.1⬇ Download for 1.20.1–1.20.6
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

No Fire Overlay

This is a very simple mod that removes the fire overlay from your screen when you're on fire. There are two 'modes' in this mod: hide and shrink.

Hide: This will completely remove vanilla's overlay (This does not affect fire blocks) and will render a small fire icon next to your crosshair to let you know you're on fire. This fire icon can be disabled.

Shrink: Won't remove the overlay but reduces its size by a lot.

Config

As I mentioned earlier, you can switch modes or disable the fire icon in the mod's config file. This file is located under the config folder in your .minecraft directory, called no-fire-overlay.json. It looks like this:

{
  "enabled": true,
  "mode": "hide",
  "crosshair": {
    "showFireIcon": true,
    "fireIconSize": 1.0
  }
}

| Note: I decided to implement configuration this way to avoid adding dependencies.
