KUAYUE IS COMING BACK!~~~~

After one year's development and remake, NeoKuaYue is ready to return with a brand new architecture, content, and experience. During this time, we have completely reset the code structure of KuaYue, fixed many issues in the old version, and brought players a fresher gaming experience. At the same time, we have added a large amount of new content to the mod for everyone to explore.

This is Kuayue!

Kuayue is a Chinese railway decoration block mod made for the Create train system. It adds numerous decorative boards for Chinese standard railway passenger cars and locomotives, bogeys, and tracks of two gauges. This mod depends on Create 0.5.1e and above (Create 6.0 is not supported yet, developers are fully pushing for 6.0 support). Currently, due to a shortage of manpower on the Fabric side, support for Fabric is paused. Thanks to [Yjn024](Yjn024的主页 - MC百科|最大的Minecraft中文MOD百科) for porting the old version of Kuayue to Fabric. Updates and Reworks

• New Dependency: Added new dependency KasugaLib.
• Locomotive and Passenger Carriage Boards: Added new locomotive boards, freight cars, and meter-gauge passenger cars. Better carriage board textures and hitbox logic.
• Bogeys: Rewrote underlying logic for better performance. Added a large number of bogeys, and ported bogeys to Create's original tracks.
• Interaction Interfaces: Introduced the experimental LKJ2000 console and reset UIs for destination signs and carriage class settings with a new color selector.
• New Gauges and Decorations: New gauges and new interior decorations.
• Construction Tools: Practical tools to help everyone place carriage boards.
• Catenary and Pantograph: Completely reset catenary system with better rendering. Enhanced pantographs with smooth animations and auto-snapping to truly transmit energy in the future.
• Train Food: Added various new foods like snacks, drinks, and instant noodles with consumption effects.
• Tech Tree: A core progression system to unlock decoration boards and parts via the blueprint table.
• Axle Weight and Collision: Introduced physical axle weight limits for assembly and weight-based momentum exchange during collisions.
• Coupling and Uncoupling: Automated coupling for compatible couplers (including Steam 'n' Rails) and wrench-based uncoupling.

Roadmap

Although the new version of Kuayue has undergone more than a year of development, many systems have not yet reached the ideal state in the minds of the development team and the majority of players. Therefore, we have prepared many "promises/big cakes" for everyone. In future development, these contents will be gradually realized, so stay tuned.

• Better catenary connections: such as electrical phase separation, more types of terminals, and a real power grid energy system.
• Perfect pantograph animation: Automatic snapping of pantographs to catenary overhead lines, more types of pantographs.
• Addon mod under development: Kuayue-International, adding some vehicle models from other countries.
• A small number of unfinished resets: Consider resetting the texture of the CR200J EMU.
• Add new train types: Consider adding EMU trains, filling the hole of CRH1; and other newly planned locomotives.
• China Railway style signal system: Will add a China Railway style signal system, and will be used in conjunction with the current system.
• Planned linkage content: Linkage with other decorative mods is being planned.
• Brand new guide in production: The China Railway style Kuayue Encyclopedia is being developed and drawn.

Compatibility

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Is the KuaYue(from 0.0.5 to 0.3.9) compatible with the new version (NeoKuaYue 1.0.0+)?

   A: Not compatible, they cannot coexist. The NeoKuaYue is completely rewritten from the ground up, and there is no compatibility between the old and new versions. The new version requires the corresponding version of KasugaLib as a prerequisite. If you insist on upgrading, please back up your save files first.

2. Is the compatibility of NeoKuaYue improved compared to the old version?

   A: Yes. 1.0.0+ has fixed a large number of legacy code errors, code vulnerabilities, and compatibility issues with other similar mods. Therefore, players can confidently play NeoKuaYue alongside other similar Create railway mods.

3. Why NeoKuaYue does not compatible with Create 6.0? When would it be supported?

   A: Since Create 6.0 has made significant changes to the code structure, currently it could not be supported by the time. The development team would strive to ensure that the next major version could support Create 6.0. Meanwhile, the main branch for development would convert from 1.19.2 to 1.20.1.

4. Why the train in the promotional video can be 18 cars long and 510 meters in total?

   A: You can modify the Create config file located in ".minecraft/saves//serverconfig/create-server.toml", changing the "maxAssemblyLength" and "maxBogeyCount" configs. Keep in mind that do not modify the config when Minecraft is running.Meanwhile, the larger the configuration "maxAssemblyLength" is, the more the game will lag.

5. Why the track curve can be so long?

   A: You can modify the configuration "MaxTrackLength" from Create, currently its maximum is 128 and minimum is 16. Adjust as needed.

6. Is there any collaboration with other mods?

   A: In previous version, KuaYue collaborated with Lead Beyond, and the content of Lead Beyond has been fully integrated into the old version of KuaYue. It will return to the new version of KuaYue in a brand new form in the near future. In addition, there are plans for collaboration with other decorative mods, so stay tuned.
