Tired of Alex's Mobs seagulls only stealing food from your hands? Now they've learned some advanced tricks!

What Does This Mod Do?

Evil Seagull makes seagulls smarter (and more mischievous). They can now:

🎒 Steal from Your Backpacks - Your inventory isn't safe anymore! Seagulls will snatch items from Sophisticated Backpacks you're carrying

🏠 Raid Placed Backpacks - Even backpacks placed in the world aren't safe from their claws

⚡ Hack Your ME System - They can steal from AE2 ME Interfaces, consuming your network power in the process

🔌 Infiltrate RS Networks - Refined Storage Interfaces are also vulnerable to these crafty birds

⚙️ Snatch from Conveyor Belts - Create mod belts? Seagulls will hover above and grab items right off them!

🥔 Special Achievement - When a seagull steals a baked potato, nearby players unlock a special advancement

• Refined Storage Support - RS Interfaces are now valid theft targets

Main Features

Intelligent Target Detection

Seagulls will search up to 16 blocks for:

• Sophisticated Backpacks in player inventories
• Sophisticated Backpack blocks placed in the world
• Applied Energistics 2 ME Interfaces
• Refined Storage Interfaces
• Create mod Conveyor Belts with items

They'll choose the closest valid target to "attack".

Theft Behavior

For Food Items:

1. Seagull flies toward the target
2. Pecks when close, stealing food
3. Quickly flees with the loot
4. Eventually eats the stolen food
5. Enters cooldown period before attempting another theft

For Non-Food Items (when enabled):

1. Seagull steals the item
2. Flies to a random location (5-15 blocks away)
3. Drops the item on the ground
4. Enters cooldown period

Special Belt Behavior:

• Seagulls hover in circles above conveyor belts before swooping down to grab items

Power/Energy Consumption

When stealing from tech mod interfaces:

• ME Interfaces: Consumes ME network power (default 10 AE per theft)
• RS Interfaces: Consumes RS network energy (default 10 FE per theft)

If the network lacks power, seagulls can't steal from it.

Configuration Options

Everything is customizable! Config file located at config/evilseagull-common.toml:

Sophisticated Backpacks

• Toggle theft from carried/placed backpacks
• Adjust search ranges (1-32/50 blocks)
• Enable stealing any item (not just food)

Applied Energistics 2

• Toggle ME Interface theft
• Adjust search range and power cost
• Enable stealing any item

Refined Storage

• Toggle RS Interface theft
• Adjust search range and energy cost
• Enable stealing any item

Create

• Toggle belt theft
• Adjust search range
• Configure hover time (min/max)
• Configure drop range for non-food items
• Steal any item enabled by default

General

• Theft cooldown modifier (50%-500%)
• Prioritize player main inventory
• Drop range for non-food items

Dependencies & Compatibility

Required Mods:

• Alex's Mobs (provides seagull entity)

Optional Mods:

• Sophisticated Backpacks (enables backpack theft features)
• Applied Energistics 2 (enables ME Interface theft features)
• Refined Storage (enables RS Interface theft features)
• Create (enables conveyor belt theft features)

If optional mods aren't installed, corresponding features automatically disable without causing crashes.
