No Gaps In Yo Items

No Gaps In Yo Items is a client-side Fabric mod focused on fixing visible gaps on 2D item models in cases where existing solutions fall short.

This project exists as a fallback for situations where Model Gap Fix doesn't fully fix the gaps on 2D generated item models. Rendering behavior can vary a lot depending on resource packs, specific items, and server environments, so this mod applies its own UV and model-generation adjustments to handle those cases more reliably.

What it does

• Fixes model gaps on 2D generated item models
• Applies UV/model-generation tweaks to improve edge stability
• Works well across normal play and multiplayer
• Compatible with all resource packs, including ones that resize or reshape item models

Known limitations

• Tridents — small pixel artifact near the right edge. Known issue, couldn't fix it without breaking other stuff
• Golden apples — may show a tiny white pixel on top of the model while eating. Also a known edge case
• A few small gaps may still show in certain texture packs with non-standard sword textures, left as-is on purpose to avoid causing other problems

Please report bugs on this mod as my new GPU doesnt have the problems with gaps still showing up after using fixes.

Why this mod exists

Sometimes model gaps still appear after using existing fixes or being on 1.21.11+ so This mod is meant as a fallback for those cases. It was tested across resource packs, specific items, server environments, and different visual setups to make sure it holds up in real gameplay.

Quick disclaimer

Versions below 1.21.8 work fine but aren't fully optimized — with a lot of items on screen you might notice a small FPS drop compared to 1.21.8 and above. This mod can be freely used in any Optimization, QoL, PvP, or similar modpacks :)
