After installing the mod, you can easily change your display name in the game. The change will only apply to the world/server, so the modification does not permanently change your nickname.
To change your name, simply enter the command /fakename set --
this is an unofficial update, I just needed this mod on my new Forge, so I updated it to make it work well and decided to share it.
I'm not the author of this mod, I just slightly modified it.
