Dark Utilities Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Expansive Content of Minecraft

Dark Utilities Mod is a special utility mod for Minecraft. This mod adds a bunch of new content, and has addon support for many other mods. It adds many new items and blocks which can be useful in a wide range of circumstances.

Items

• Portal Charm
  • The portal charm is an item that passively reduces the cooldown time to pass through most portals. For example a player with this charm will be able to pass through the Nether Portal instantly, similar to players in Creative Mode. This effect is active while the charm is in the player’s inventory, including the offhand slot or the charm/necklace slot added by other mods like Curios or Trinkets API.
• Sleep Charm
  • The sleep charm is an item that prevents the player from accumulating insomnia and will ward off the effects of already accumulated insomnia over time. This will result in phantoms attacking the player less often over time. This effect is active while the charm is in the player’s inventory, including the offhand slot or the charm/necklace slot added by other mods like Curios or Trinkets API.
• Warding Charm
  • The warding charm is an item that will ward off harmful status effects over time. This results in negative effects wearing off twice as fast as they would otherwise. This effect does not apply to effects from ambient sources like beacons. This effect is active while the charm is in the player’s inventory, including the offhand slot or the charm/necklace slot added by other mods like Curios or Trinkets API.
• Enchanting Tome
  • The enchanting tome allows players to re-roll their enchanting seed. This will result in new enchantments being available at the enchantment table. This effect is applied by right clicking the tome, and will consume 20xp from the player. When used the Tome will have a 30 second cooldown applied.
• Tome of Shadows
  • The tome of shadows allows the player to hide certain blocks and items by right clicking them. For example right clicking a vector plate or similar flat effect tile will make it invisible until something walks on it.
• Galactic Tome
  • The galactic tome allows players to apply the Standard Galactic Alphabet font to signs, blocks, and mobs in game.
• Illager Tome
  • The illager tome allows players to apply the Illager Runic Alphabet font to signs, blocks, and mobs in game.
• Pig Pen Tome
  • The pig pen tome allows players to apply the Pig Pen Cipher font to signs, blocks, and mobs in game.
• Runelic Tome
  • The runelic tome allows players to apply the Runelic font to signs, blocks, and mobs in game.

Blocks

• Blank Plate
  • The blank plate is a flat stone tile similar to carpet. It is primarily added for decorative purposes. When effect plates added by this mod are powered by redstone they will take on the appearance of the blank plate, allowing effect plates to be hidden among blank plates.
• Vector Plate
  • The vector plate is a flat stone tile that has a rotatable arrow. Any entities that come in contact with the plate will be accelerated in the direction of the arrow. The arrow will point in the direction the player is facing when the plate is placed. Sneak clicking an already placed plate will rotate it once clockwise. There are four tiers of the vector plate, each tier is significantly faster than the previous.
• How to craft the Ultra Vector Plate?
  • The ultra vector plate is obtained by striking the extreme vector plate with lightning. When struck by lightning the lightning will follow the path of the arrows and convert every vector plate touched into an ultra vector plate. The lightning will flow through up to 16 plates. If an adjacent lightning rod is struck up to 4 vector plate chains can be converted, allowing for up to 64 vector plates from one lightning strike.
• Damage Plate
  • The damage plate will deal 3 hearts of damage to any living entity that collides with it.
• Maim Damage Plate
  • The maim damage plate will deal half a heart of non-lethal damage to any living entity that collides with it.
• Player Damage Plate
  • The player damage plate will deal 3 hearts of player damage to any living entity that collides with it. Player damage will result in mobs dropping XP and player only drops when killed.
• Effect Plates
  • Effect plates will give a status effect to any living entity that collides with them.
    • Slowness Plate = 5 seconds of slowness 2
    • Fatigue Plate = 5 seconds of mining fatigue 2
    • Darkness Plate = 5 seconds of blindness 2
    • Hunger Plate = 5 seconds of hunger 1
    • Weakness Plate = 5 seconds of weakness 1
    • Poison Plate = 5 seconds of poison 1
    • Wither Plate = 5 seconds of wither 1
    • Alert Plate = 5 seconds of Glowing 2
    • Levitation Plate = 5 seconds of Levitation 2
    • Misfortune Plate = 33 seconds of Unluck 2
    • Slowfall Plate = 5 seconds of Slow Fall 2
    • Ominous Plate = 25 seconds of Bad Omen 1
    • Frost Plate = 1 frost damage + 1 second of frost effect
    • Flame Plate = 1 fire damage + 4 seconds of burning effect
• Mob Filter
  • The mob filter is a block that only allows entities that match some condition to pass through them. For example the hostile filter will only allow hostile mobs to pass through. Sneak clicking the block in world will invert the filter, allowing everything except the target to pass through. Powering this block with redstone will make the block completely solid to everything.
  • Player Filter = Only players
  • Undead Filter = Only undead mobs like zombies and skeletons.
  • Arthropod Filter = Only arhtropods like spiders and bees.
  • Illager Filter = Only illagers like the Pillager and Vindicator.
  • Raider Filter = Only mobs in the raider mob tag like pillagers and witches.
  • Hostile Filter = Only hostile mobs like zombies.
  • Animal Filter = Only animals like pigs.
  • Child Filter = Only baby mobs like baby pigs or baby zombies.
  • Pet Filter = Only tamable mobs like wolves or horses.
  • Slime Filter = Only slimes like green slimes and magma cubes.
  • Villager Filter = Only villagers.
  • Golem Filter = Only Golems, like snow golems or iron golems.
  • Aquatic Filter = Only aquatic mobs like squids or fish.
  • Named Filter = Only mobs with a custom name.
  • Equipment Filter = Only mobs with armor or a held item.
  • Vehicle Filter = Only Vehicles and their passengers.
  • Fire Immune Filter = Only mobs immune to fire.
  • Frost Immune Filter = Only mobs immune to frost.
• Redstone Randomizer
  • This block will toggle between an on and off state randomly. When in the on state it will emit a redstone signal in the direction it is looking.
• Shielded Redstone
  • This block will emit a redstone signal in only one direction. Other sides are isolated and will not get a signal from this block.

Screenshots:

Vector Plate: Flat blocks that will push mobs in the direction they are pointing. Can be upgraded to Import and Export plates which can interact with inventories.

Filter Blocks: Filter blocks allow mobs that fit a certain criteria to walk through them as if they were not there.

Charms: Mysterious charms have special effects when in the inventory.

Transformation Powder: Transformation powder allows blocks to be converted into other blocks.
