Item Rename Mod (26.1.2, 1.20.1) – Edit Item Tooltips

Item Rename Mod allows you to edit the content of the tooltip box that appears when you hover your cursor over an item in your inventory. With this mod, this is done by holding the item to be edited in your main hand and then executing some commands. The mod is very easy to use and will especially be useful when creating custom item tooltips for mini games or custom puzzle maps. A list of commands and their uses are listed below.

Commands to edit the tooltip content:

• /rename <name> : Renames the item in hand.
• /setloreline <lineNumber> <text> : Sets a certain line of lore on the item in hand.
• /addloreline <text>: Adds a line of lore on the item in hand.
• /removeloreline <lineNumber> : Remove a certain line of lore on the item in hand.
• /insertloreline <beforeLineNumber> <text> : Insert a certain line of lore on the item in hand.
• /glow : Adds an enchantment glow to the item in hand.
• /removeglow : Removes the enchantment glow from the item.
• /removename : Removes any custom name from the item in hand.
• /removelore : Removes any custom lore from the item in hand.
• /lockitem : Lock item edit, allowing only you to modify selected items.
• /unlockitem : Unlock item edit, allowing everyone to modify selected items.
