GPU Tape Mod (1.21.11, 1.20.1) – Boosts Game Rendering Performance

GPU Tape Mod changes how the game handles rendering to give you higher frames per second and fix video memory leaks. The mod applies direct-state access and faster math formulas to speed up CPU computations on the client side. It also adjusts depth buffers to squeeze out more frames during gameplay. You can run this alongside popular mods like Sodium, Embeddium, and Iris. Keep in mind that some features require a graphics card that supports OpenGL 4.5 or higher.

Features:

• Direct-State Access (DSA) System: Cuts down rendering operations by managing buffers without binding them.
• Buffer Pooling: Reuses VBO and EBO buffers to save memory instead of creating new ones constantly.
• Renderbuffer Object (RBO) Depth: Replaces textures with RBO for depth calculations to gain extra frames. This specific feature does not work with shaderpacks.
• SIMD Acceleration: Speeds up CPU math calculations using the Vector API from the jdk.incubator module.
