Golden Age Combat Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Restored Blocking Mechanic

Golden Age Combat Mod restores the classic ability to block with a sword, just like in older versions of Minecraft-but with useful modern enhancements.

Features:

• No Attack Cooldown: No delay-spam clicking is back.
• Sword Blocking Returns: Block with swords in either hand, reducing damage by 50%.
• Critical Hits While Sprinting: Sprinting no longer disables crits.
• Knockback Rework: Airborne knockback behaves like in 1.8-targets fly farther.
• Fishing Rod Combat: Rods deal knockback and take less durability damage.
• Snowballs & Eggs: Now deal knockback to players.
• Inflated Hitboxes: Targets are easier to hit with a 10% size increase.
• Old Animations Restored:
  • Bow/potion/food punching
  • Sword block pose in third-person
  • Lost hearts no longer flash

Combat Tweaks & Extras:

• Golden Apples: Enchanted variants give their original effects (e.g. regeneration).
• Health Regeneration: Saturation-based regen is nerfed for balance.
• Sweep Attacks: Require the Sweeping Edge enchantment and deal reduced damage.
• Projectile Immunity Removed: Multishot and rapid hits work properly.
• Hit Through Grass: Tall grass and non-solid blocks no longer block attacks.
• Extended Reach: Swords, hoes, and tridents have increased attack range.
