Toggleable Offhand Placing (TOP)

by bikerboys · on Modrinth

Toggleable Offhand Placing, aka TOP, adds a new keybind that disables or enables the placing of blocks in your offhand, that way you can hold torches…

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Fabric only.

I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

TOP (Toggleable Offhand Placing) is a simple mod that stops you from accidentally placing blocks with your offhand. No more misplacing blocks while trying to eat, fight, or use tools. It keeps your offhand free for shields, food, or whatever else you need, without the frustration of random block placements. Just install it, and you're good to go. Its default keybind for toggling it is Y.
