Permanent Sponges Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Sponges to Keep an Area Permanently Dry

Permanent Sponges Mod adds a new type of sponge to Minecraft that not only removes water but also protects the surrounding area from water seeping in from outside. These sponges make it much easier to build underground structures or to fight underwater mobs. In addition to sponges, the mod includes sticks infused with sponge particles that allow you to quickly clear waterlogged blocks.
