Variants and Ventures Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – New Dangers in Every Biome

Variants and Ventures Mod adds several new versions of common mobs to the game. These new mobs appear naturally in biomes that match their style, like frozen zombies in snowy areas. You can also find their spawners inside dungeons and trial chambers, which makes exploring more challenging.

Features:

New Hostile Mobs

• Gelid (Frozen Zombie): Found in cold biomes, this zombie’s attacks will give you a freezing effect.
• Thicket (Jungle Zombie): This zombie lives in jungle biomes and will poison you when it hits.
• Verdant (Jungle Skeleton): A skeleton variant that also spawns in jungles and shoots poison-tipped arrows.
• Murk (Sunken Skeleton): Lives underwater in warm oceans. You can use shears on it to get live or dead corals.

World and Spawning Changes

• You can find new monster spawners for Gelid, Thicket, and Verdant in dungeons located in their home biomes.
• Trial Chambers may now include trial spawners for all the new mob variants.
• The mod also improves how Strays, Husks, and Bogged spawn in the world.
• Adds a chance to find monster spawners for Strays, Husks, and Bogged.
