⭐ Simple, lightweight expansion to vanilla fishing progression. ⭐
Adds 2 new fishing rods meant to be crafted & obtained at different stages of the game.
Recommended to use alongside my Enchantment Overhaul Add-on

🌖 Celestial Rod

🍀 Luck : 2
✨ Enchantability : 10
🛠️ Durability : 256
🔨 Repairable w : Shulker Shells
🏆 Exceptionally rare chance to fish up from treasure loot tables - if the user has Luck of the Sea levels.
💫 Enchanted with Lure V and Curse of Vanishing upon being fished up. Will randomly roll Luck of the Sea levels 0-X.
🪚 Support for Simple Skills loot tables!
- Simple Skills loot tables are slightly modified, and the Celestial Rod will only appear at Expert and Grandmaster levels, with Grandmaster boosting enchantments, and likelihood.
🎨 Textures are currently in the style of Whimscape, as that's the texture pack I've used for a long time. In the future I'm hoping to make them more unique, as well as add support for custom fishing bobber entities.
🐛 For now, to report bugs or issues, message me on Discord: @ dmsw I am nice and I will be more than happy to help you out. If you'd like access to any project files too, I'm more than happy to provide those.
⚠️ Plans for the future :
As for other plans for the future, there's not a whole lot else you can do to expand upon fishing without major content being implemented. This mod mostly serves as a supplement to other progression mods. Mainly Simple Skills. As a result, there most likely won't be any major content additions in the future. I could maybe see myself adding 1 or 2 more rods, but as it stands, there is not a lot of vanilla friendly ways to incentize players to obtain them. Luck was a godsend for this mod because it's pretty much an unused mechanic in other parts of the game, and just allows you a simple way to give the player extra Luck of the Sea levels without increasing the vanilla cap, and thus making its aquisition tangible, and meaningful. The only other thing I've been thinking about in relation to this mod is a complete loot table overhaul. But if that comes it will most likely be done in the form of support for Simple Skills and its loot tables / fishing skill.
