# BuycraftX-Velocity This project is an **unofficial** port of the [Buycraft](https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/buycraft.336/) plugin by [Tebex Limited](https://tebex.io) for Velocity 3.1 and newer ## About this plugin * Based directly on BuycraftX with no additional modifications except compatibility fixes * Supports Velocity version 3.0 and above * Provides all functionality of BuycraftX ## Why this unofficial version is necessary BuycraftX has had official support for the Velocity 1.x and 1.1.x for a long time. With the introduction of the Velocity 3.x versions, the deprecated Kyori/text library was removed from Velocity. Since the official Buycraft version for Velocity heavily relied on the deprecated library it stopped working. Multiple developers have since reached out to Tebex support and have attempted to contribute fixes for this version incompatibility back to Buycraft. These have sat unanswered and mostly ignored since November 2020. Until these differences are resolved I will continue to maintain this version with fixes for Velocity 3.0 and newer. ## Legal basis Since the original [BuycraftX project](https://github.com/tebexio/BuycraftX) is licensed under the [MIT-License](https://choosealicense.com/licenses/mit/) I am allowed to modify and distribute this project. I encourage any Tebex employee or associate to review the multiple pull-requests updating the Velocity compatibility on BuycraftX
