Protect Animals
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.
Named animals never take damage. Also removes some damage sources to animals (listed below). Includes allays and striders, but not bats, hoglins, or villagers.
Specific changes:
- Make animals damageable again by naming them
killable. - Bees and dolphins do not drown.
- Water animals (squid, axolotl, nautilus) do not take damage when out of water.
- Named pigs (except those named
killable) do not become zombified piglins when struck by lightning.
VERSION 1.21.4 AND EARLIER:
- Fish are not protected. (Fish are protected in later versions.)
- Bees ONLY take damage from players and other mobs.
- Named pigs can still become zombified piglins when struck by lightning.
VERSIONS 1.21 AND 1.20.4:
- Cannot make animals damageable again once they're named.
