Nikt's Sweets

Is a mod that adds upon Minecraft's food choices by adding sweets in a Vanilla+ style!

• You can now share your favorite sweets you made with a friend! Or instead compete over whose cookie looks more stylish. If you don't have friends you can make (some of) them for your pets (or imaginary friends)!

• This mod adds a decent amount of unique and customizable sweets. Mainly made for a fun time with friends for all those people who would like to make more foods in Minecraft without overcomplicating the process. There are no new tools or custom tables. Everything is done via recipes. And you're guided all by advancements to make more sweets!

• Best used in Vanilla+ themed modpacks (and a friend)

(2026) - Hi there, unfortunately there won't be any new updates to this mod and I generally wouldn't recommend installing it to new packs on 1.20.1

why?

Initially I didn't have the time or motivation to keep maintaining and updating this mod, for what I thought would be a short time, but the underlying code was atrocious and very hard to work with(This is one of only a few mods I ever made, and it dates back to versions on Planet Minecraft) by then it was a hellish experience to add or fix basically anything and additionally I've got no idea where the source code is as I switched OS'es.

I don't have any github backups just because I didn't bother learning it back when i started, lol.

This is an amateur project and I'm sure you can tell I was just playing with it for fun.

Thank you to everyone who played this silly project, I am very thankful for how many people actually played it, and shout out to Fire King for covering it in a mod showcase! <3

Some answers to never asked questions:

• Can i use the mod in a modpack? Yes! You certainly can i don't mind.

• Does the mod work with [Mod name]? The mod will very likely run with any other mod. But if Sweets is causing issues hit me up.

• Is there a fabric version?
  No and there won't be a fabric port.

• I (have a problem) / (want to get in touch) where do i go?

• Can i reupload your mod to a site?
  No you can't do that, that would be copyright infringement, but you can take inspiration and make your own based on this one or something. You can use my textures just don't say it's yours

• When is there going to be an update?
  I don't know.
