Adds a grappling hook, but...
The hook added in this mod follows the physics of an idealised (linear elastic) spring, i.e. Hooke's law - instead of pulling you all the way to the hook, it attempts to pull you to (by default) 4 blocks away. For extra fun, the hook itself also follows these physics when it's not embedded in a block.
The mod also adds three enchantments;
- Stiffness (I-III) - increases the acceleration that the hook's spring applies
- Resting Range (I-III) - allows you to change the distance that the hook attempts to pull/push you to
- (3-5 blocks for I, 2-6 for II, 1-7 for III)
- Boosting - launches you backwards slightly whenever you fire the hook
You can either sneak+scroll or fire+scroll to change the hook's resting distance in increments of 0.5 blocks, or 0.1 if both at once.
Also has optional Area Lib compatibility to disallow hook usage in areas with the grapplinghooke:disallow component.
