Distant Horizons Mod lets you see much farther in Minecraft without slowing down your game. It adds a smart system that shows simplified terrain beyond the normal view distance. This means you can finally enjoy the view from that tall mountain or tower you built without performance issues.

Features:

Increases your view distance far beyond what vanilla Minecraft allows, for example, up to 512 chunks.
Renders distant chunks in a simplified form to keep the game running smoothly on your computer.
As you get closer to these areas, they automatically change back to fully detailed blocks.
Works with player-made structures, so you can see your own creations from far away.
Supports multiplayer. If the server has the mod, distant areas load for you automatically.
You can use it with some shaders if you also have mods like Iris or OptiFine installed.

Variable Detail: Fake chunks closer will become larger and less detailed the further they are from the player, increasing performance.

256 render distance: By default the mod renders at 64, but can go up to 4096! (although anything above 512 may become difficult due to high RAM or GPU usage)
