LOTR: legacy is a mod that brings middle earth into minecraft 1.7.10.

This Addon makes several adjustmenets in a piece-meal fashion that can improve gameplay and add some vanilla items back into the game via new crafting recipes.

There are 3 modules at the moment with 1 more planned.

  1. Crafting Recipe Tweaks: This mod adds new recipes for nether quartz, redstone dust, and enchanted books.
  1. Per Player Mob Cap: A Module is added that allows the server to change mob spawning algorithms to operate per-player instead of being server wide. It also allows for the number of mobs expected per player to be adjusted in config. Defaults are set to match base mod experience. Mob spawning algorithm is adjusted for Middle earth and Utumno. Does not affect passive mob spawning, only LotrNPCs. This module may be run Server-side only. ( no additional config necessary )

  2. More Money: A module is added that allows for higher coin denominations to be gotten through the coin exchange system. Currently adds 1k, 10k and 100k coins.

This module is server-client required. If you are running this mod server-only. Disable this module in the config.

Running Server only: This is sprinkled above but just to be explicit. If you are running this mod server-side and not client side. . . adjust the following config:

  1. In the crafting module, set server-side to "true"
  2. In the more money module, set enabled to "false"
  3. If the server was running, restart the server.
