Nuclear apocalypse

Inspiration

This mod is inspired by minecraft's oldest challenge: the 404 challenge. I loved this challenge but i thought it could use some realism and immersion. Now you have a reason why you have to stay underground, because of the radiation.

The beginning

First when you enter a world there is a countdown which immidiatly starts counting down. There is also an command which you can use to skip the timer. The command is /skiptimer. Then you fast forward to only 30 seconds left. When it hits zero it triggers an explosion.

The explosion.

When the explosion occurs it has an enormous shockwave which burns everything in his path. It also causes lots of radiation in the world. You have to be below y30 to not get radiation. If you walk unprotected in the radiation for too long you get radiation poisoning. The radiation poisoning gets progressifely worse. If you don't cure the posioning before the effect ends you die. You cure the poison if you eat an golden apple.

Protective armor.

You can protect yourself from the radiation if you wear any of the metal armor. The metal armor protects you for 5 minutes of radiation. After that armor breaks because it is saturated with radiation. There are 4 types of protective armor. The metal armor itself it is not very strong. You would want to upgrade it with either iron, diamond or even netherite. This also increases the protection levels. You can find the metal ore between y30 and y-64.

I also have an youtube channel where i document any updates i make on the mod. I will post there an full showcase video. See you there!

If you have any ideas or problems please let me know!

-Keep in mind if you create a new world and the explosion occurs and you want to create a new world you have to restart the game.
