Myxini's Mobs is a mod that adds 15 new mobs based on those found in vanilla Minecraft. Although visually similar to their vanilla counterparts, these curious new creatures possess new drops and features. Several of them can be used to craft brand-new items, as well.

Mobs

Each new mob spawns in several vanilla biomes, ranging from those in the depths of the Nether to the wastes of the End. Some may be friends, but others will be foes. Or perhaps both?

• The Spookfish is a hostile mob that spawns in the Soul Sand Valley. Although slow, they favor surrounding their prey in large schools. The eerie drops of the Spookfish can prove a valuable food source when traversing the Nether, especially when combined. Spookfish can be bucketed, but as monsters, they will despawn without a name.
• The Chorochs is a passive mob that spawns in the End Highlands and Midlands. Although harder to catch than typical livestock, the drops of the Chorochs can prove quite beneficial. Chorochs are bred with chorus fruit and offer a unique liquid when milked.
• The Gallolith is a passive mob that spawns in Stony Peaks, Windswept Hills, and Jagged Peaks. Despite appearances, this creature is made entirely of stone and is thus inedible. However, keeping the Gallolith around may quickly provide an interesting new use. Although they can't be bred, perhaps there's another way they can be renewed.
• The Lunk is a passive mob that rarely spawns in taigas of all varieties. Those lucky enough to encounter one will benefit from its blessings obtained when feeding it a myriad of different treats. Slaying the Lunk, however, will yield both good and bad karma. Lunks can be bred with Netherite Apples.
• The Cheaper is a hostile mob that spawns similarly to its much more volatile cousin. Despite appearances, the Cheaper serves more as an annoyance and can only follow its target. While the drop of the Cheaper may seem disappointing, it can open the doors to a world of unique yet disgusting new foods.
• The Shiverhog is a passive mob that spawns in Snowy Plains and Snowy Taigas. Although it can be hunted and farmed for a filling food source, the true talent of the Shiverhog lies beneath the snow. Shiverhogs can be bred with Frigid Truffles.
• The Icecap is a passive mob that spawns in Ice Spikes, Frozen Peaks, and Jagged Peaks. Due to its incredibly durable and arrow-resistant shell, the Icecap does not need to curl up. Using a pickaxe, one can harness their defensive capabilities by shaving off their scutes. Icecaps can support the weight of much larger creatures, as well. Icecaps can be bred with spider eyes.
• The Hailstorm is a hostile mob that spawns in Ice Spikes. Unlike other monsters, Hailstorms prefer to guard their domain during the day. They are fiercely territorial and will attack any threats by firing Hailstones. Those powerful enough to defeat one will discover numerous new items, ranging from tools to blocks.
• The Bofro is a passive mob that cannot spawn naturally and must be thawed from a block of Saccharice. Locating one can prove challenging, as they only generate in subterranean Freezers. However, once awoken from its slumber, the Bofro can be fed bountiful fruits to create an array of Sorbet.
• The Replyca is a neutral mob that cannot spawn naturally and must be revived utilizing a new structure. After locating and repairing a Ruined Altar and excavating five fossils from an Arctic Fossil, one can bring new life to these bones during a thunderstorm. The Replyca, although formidable, can be tamed after engaging in combat or by feeding it Raw Frostchops. They won't follow or listen to their owners but will prove valuable when paired with wolves.
• The Alchenid is a hostile mob that spawns in jungles and swamps of all varieties. Unlike its standard and cave-dwelling counterparts, this spider can inflict several adverse effects on its prey. However, its transmutative venom can be harnessed by sacrificing its favorite food.
• The Bonfowl is a passive mob that spawns in Nether Wastes and Crimson Forests. Although rare, its intense body heat makes for an effective portable furnace. While they can't breed, Bonfowls will convert to Bonfowl Ashes when slain, which can be revived with a campfire.
• The Gourmera is a passive mob that cannot spawn naturally and must be hatched from a Fused Embryo. As the ultimate livestock animal, Gourmeras will drop an increased amount of any meat from its components. Akin to some of its blood, they can occasionally lay eggs and be milked. While they can't breed, Gourmeras will lay a new Fused Embryo when fed Amalgagoras.
• The Ttalloy is a neutral mob that spawns in deserts and badlands of all varieties. While somewhat aimless, their original programming will activate when attacked. Using a Normalis Capsule will spawn a tamed Ttalloy. While they can't sit, they can be picked up into their Capsule, or will drop it upon death. Tamed Ttalloys can be upgraded with any of the numerous Nodes.
• The Sage is a neutral mob that rarely spawns in jungles of all varieties and Cherry Groves. When offered a tool without enchantments, the Sage will lend some of its mystical power and grant a random enchantment to it. However, a block of bamboo and some experience must be offered after every exchange. If the Sage has been overloaded with energy, it will gladly shed its excess on any bottles or golden apples. Offering Incanite to a Sage will increase its excess by two.

Items

The new mobs also arrive with multiple items, ranging from delicious foods to peculiar new gear. Many of them can be obtained by slaying them, but some can be obtained through more peaceful manners.

• When slain, a Spookfish will typically drop Raw Spookfish. Common to other meats, it can be cooked into Cooked Spookfish via furnaces, smokers, or campfires.
• Occasionally, a Spookfish will drop its Eerie Roe as well. Although edible, it can sometimes inflict weakness.
• Placing two Eerie Roes, one Cooked Spookfish, and a bowl into a crafting table can yield some Spooky Stew. This filling meal will grant momentary weakness, which is outweighed by a considerable dose of night vision.
• When slain, a Chorochs will drop some Raw Chorochs Cuts. Like other meats, it can be cooked into Violet Steak via furnaces, smokers, or campfires. Violet Steak will grant a few seconds of feather falling when eaten.
• When milked, a Chorochs will produce a Fluttermilk Bucket. Although it won't clear potion effects like its Overworld counterpart, it will grant a few seconds of levitation.
• A Gallolith has a rare chance to lay a Gallolith Egg. Unlike standard eggs, they can't be thrown and won't hatch.
• Using a stone cutter, a Gallolith Egg's shell can be cracked to reveal Raw Yolkite. Raw Yolkite can be smelted via a furnace or blast furnace into Cured Yolkite, providing a few seconds of haste when eaten. Right-clicking on cobblestone with Raw Yolkite will create a new Gallolith.
• When slain, a Lunk will drop Lunk Wool. It can be placed and used for decoration**,** but can't be crafted into carpets or beds.
• Placing five blocks of Lunk Wool into a crafting table can yield a Fabled Cap. Although not much more durable than a leather cap, the Fabled Cap will provide a continuous source of luck. It can be repaired using Lunk Wool.
• Placing two diamonds in a crafting table will yield a pair of Diamond Shears. They function just as a standard pair of shears but have increased durability.
• Upgrading a pair of Diamond Shears in a smithing table with a netherite upgrade and a netherite ingot will yield a pair of Netherite Shears. Even more powerful than Diamond Shears, Netherite Shears can safely shear Lunk Wool from a Lunk.
• Placing four netherite scrap and a golden apple in a crafting table will yield a Netherite Apple. It functions as a weaker version of an enchanted golden apple and can be used to breed Lunks.
• When slain, a Cheaper may drop some Dudpowder. Although quite similar to gunpowder, Dudpowder is more akin to sugar and can't be crafted into TNT.
• Placing one Dudpowder and one water bottle into a crafting table will yield a bottle of Cheap Soda. Although filling compared to other drinks, it may occasionally inflict nausea.
• Placing one Dudpowder, one spider eye, and two wheat into a crafting table will yield some Spider Bites. Although more filling than regular cookies, they may occasionally inflict poison.
• Placing one Dudpowder, one slimeball, and one egg into a crafting table will yield a Key Slime Pie. Although more filling than a typical pumpkin pie, it may occasionally inflict slowness.
• Placing two Dudpowder, three Fluttermilk Buckets, one Gallolith Egg, and two wheat into a crafting table will yield a Rainbow Cake. While not placeable, this miraculous desert can be downed whole and grant speed, strength, and resistance. Be warned, as it also grants hunger among these benefits.
• When a skeleton or a stray slays a Cheaper, it'll drop a new music disc, On Sale. On Sale was composed by Ninni.
• When slain, a Shiverhog will drop some Raw Frostchops. Like other meats, it can be cooked into Thawed Frostchops via furnaces, smokers, or campfires. Thawed Frostchops will grant a few seconds of Warming when eaten.
• When fed carrots, Shiverhogs will dig through the dirt and root up a Frigid Truffle. When eaten, it will remove any slowness. It can also be used to breed Shiverhogs and brew potions of Warming. Frigid Truffles can be crafted into a Frigid Truffle Block.
• Placing a Frigid Truffle in a brewing stand will yield a potion of Warming. Mobs afflicted with Warming will be immune to the effects of powder snow.
• Using a pickaxe, one can shave an Icecap Scute from the shell of an Icecap. Icecaps can be shaved once every ten minutes. They can occasionally be obtained by slaying an Icecap as well.
• Placing eight Icecap Scutes into a crafting table will yield a Scutemail Chestplate. Although similar in durability to an iron chestplate, Scutemail can deflect all incoming arrows.
• When slain, a Hailstorm may drop a Hailshard. Placing two Hailshards and one stick into a crafting table will yield a Hailshard Sword. Similar in durability and effectiveness to an iron sword, swipes from a Hailshard Sword will also inflict temporary slowness on any opponent.
• When slain, a Hailstorm may drop some Glacilite Shards or Glacilite Crystals. Like prismarine, these frozen minerals can be placed into a crafting table to create several new Glacilite blocks, including Glacilite Bricks, Dark Glacilite, and the Glacial Lantern.
• Placing one Glacilite Crystal, one block of ice, and one snowball into a crafting table can yield some Hailstones. Hailstones can be thrown to inflict slowness on any mobs hit or create temporary powdered snow on any blocks hit.
• Exploring a Freezer can yield a block of Saccharice. When right-clicked with a flint and steel, it'll release the Bofro frozen inside and drop some sugar.
• Feeding a Bofro one of nine ingredients can yield some Sorbet. Each flavor grants a different effect upon being eaten, ranging from jump boost to regeneration. Bofros must be refueled with snowballs after every feeding.
• Excavating an Arctic Fossil can yield some Hound Fossils. Although they can be crafted into bonemeal, like regular bone blocks, placing five on a repaired Altar can reanimate them into a Replyca.
• When a Replyca howls, it'll inflict Replyca's Howl upon itself. Mobs afflicted with Replyca's Howl receive increased defense and damage. Tame Replycas can inflict both their owners and tamed wolves with it.
• When slain, an Alchenid will occasionally drop Alchenid Venom. However, there is another, more malicious way of obtaining it.
• Placing nine Alchenid Venom into a crafting table will yield a Philosopod's Stone. This mystical item can transmute blocks and mobs into new forms. It can also be used in several recipes. Be warned, as continuous use will gradually break the stone down.
• When slain, a Bonfowl will drop Bonfowl Ashes. The ashes will revive when brought to a campfire and become a new Bonfowl. Using the ashes on a soul campfire may produce interesting results. Bonfowl Ashes can be crafted by placing eight soul sand and one Scorched Feather into a crafting table.
• A Bonfowl will occasionally drop a Scorched Feather when slain. It can be used to craft Bonfowl Ashes and is an incredibly long-lasting fuel source for furnaces.
• Placing a bowl, a crimson fungus, and some nether wart into a crafting table will yield some Nether Broth. Although a decent food source for Nether expeditions, it can be cooked into Spicy Nether Broth with a Bonfowl. Spicy Nether Broth will inflict a few seconds of swiftness, but comes with a burning price.
• Placing one raw pork, chicken, beef, salmon, and a Philosopod's Stone into a crafting table will yield a Fused Embryo. They can occasionally hatch into Gourmeras, but they can also be used to create some Meat Loaf. Gourmeras will occasionally lay them as well.
• Placing a potato, a carrot, a beetroot, and a Philosopod's Stone into a crafting table will yield an Amalgagora. These mutant vegetables can be fed to a Gourmera to lay a new Fused Embryo. They can also be cooked into Steamed Amalgagoras, a nutritious food source.
• Placing a cooked porkchop, chicken, steak, and a Fused Embryo in a crafting table will yield some Meat Loaf. Although terribly disgusting, this unholy fusion of meat is an incredible meal.
• When slain, a Ttalloy will occasionally drop a Ttalloy Core. While it can be smelted into a copper ingot, it can also be crafted into a Normalis Capsule.
• Placing a Ttalloy Core, two redstone dust, and six copper ingots into a crafting table will yield a Normalis Capsule. When placed on the ground, it will turn into a tamed Ttalloy. Ttalloy's can be picked back up into their capsule and will drop it upon death.
• Placing five copper ingots, one redstone dust, and a signature ingredient can create one of seven Nodes. These Nodes can be used to upgrade tamed Ttalloys, ranging from their attack to granting them new abilities. Ttalloy upgrades can be reset using the Nullus Node.
• Exploring caves in Sage territory may uncover Incanite Ore. Usually found near deepslate, this magical gem can be offered to Sages to increase their excess energy. Incanite can be crafted into a Block of Incanite.

Structures

Some mobs relate to or originate from new structures and/or features. Locating them can prove challenging, but essential to encountering certain mobs.

• The End Barn is a structure that generates in End Barrens. While their origins are unknown, they are full of valuable loot for farming or slow falling. End Barns will always harbor a single Chorochs, but may also house some unwanted company.
• The Freezer is a feature that generates under Snowy Taigas, Snowy Plains, Snow Slopes, Frozen Oceans, and Deep Frozen Oceans. Similar to a geode in appearance, breaking into and exploring one of these hunks of ice can yield a single block of Saccharice. Be warned, as they're also filled with powdered snow.
• The Arctic Fossil is a feature that generates in Snowy Taigas, Snowy Plains, and Snowy Beaches. These remnants from a bygone time can yield five Hound Fossils when excavated. Bone blocks and packed ice can also be found.
• The Ruined Altar is a structure that generates in Snowy Taigas, Snowy Plains, and Snowy Beaches. Although weathered, they can be repaired with copper blocks, soul sand, and lightning rods. Placing five Hound Fossils atop the Altar during a thunderstorm will reanimate them into a Replyca. Replycas can only be reanimated on the base of the Altar, but one can build their own.
• Incanite Veins generate deep under jungles of all varieties and Cherry Groves. While they don't give any experience, they are valuable for enchanting with the Sage.
