Coal Explosion Mod (1.21.11, 1.20.1) – Be Careful With Coal Ores

Coal Explosion Mod will add a realistic and dangerous feature to coal ore in Minecraft: when mining coal ore, an explosion may occur, especially if you use an unsuitable tool. After installing the mod, mining coal becomes a bit more dangerous, since coal blocks can explode.

The mod has a good idea, but its implementation is not very realistic yet. Regardless of the tool, the coal block will explode with a small blast that can injure you if you stand too close. The block will also explode if you place a torch, lava, or magma nearby.

The mod has a config file where you can adjust the explosion power and also specify which items will make the coal block explode when you right-click it. In the future, the author plans to add a more realistic system in which coal only explodes when mined with a stone or metal pickaxe, and there will be no such problems when mining with a wooden or diamond pickaxe.

• Configurable:
  • Range (default = 5.0, min 0 max 256.0): The range of the explosion of a coal block.
  • Strength (default = 10.0, min 0, max 256.0): The amount of damage the explosions do.
    causeFire (default = false): Whether an exploding coal block should cause fire.
  • Sparks (default = iron and gold pickaxes): Whatever you add to this list will trigger explosions.
• This mod not required on the server or the client. But it must be somewhere:
  • For multiplayer, it must at least be on the server.
  • For singleplayer, it must be on the client.
