The Staff Awakens finally supports modern Minecraft versions, specifically Minecraft 26.1.2!

The mod's redevelopment has already begun! With far more experience and knowledge from me, it will take significantly less time than previously, also because I have much more free time during the summer break. Chenk in from time to time, and you may find some new updates once a while! This time I will post more frequently and smaller updates, so the mod won't feel as forgotten as before. At first, the 1.20.4 version's features will be recreated, but after that, I will continue with new things. I have so many plans for this mod!

As I said, stay tuned for updates! The latest version is v1.4.0! Check it out now!

The Mana points and the Magical enchantment have already been added! Time for some new staffs?

The Staff Awakens - AvM Staff Mod

Have you ever watched an animation and said I wish this was in the real game? Well, this mod does exactly that.

-----------------------

The Staff Awakens mod is a fan-made adaptation of Alan Becker’s AvM series. The main concept of the mod is set of staffs, which can use Minecraft blocks’ powers when equipped as a core. While the mod might not be canonically accurate, it focuses on giving a vanilla style gameplay compatible with survival Minecraft. This includes a wide variety of staffs arranged in a tech tree, as well as a Mana point system for the player. The powers of the blocks also sometimes vary from the original to better fit the current development of the player in their world. This means, that these staffs are not just end game items, but they can be used from the start of the world and can be progressed during the regular gameplay through the tech tree. Also this results in not being an objectively best staff: each staff accepts a different set of cores, useful for different scenarios, so it worths keeping multiple staffs on the player.

Don’t forget to check out Alan Becker’s animation here, as the original idea comes from him!

Technical information

The mod is currently available for two Minecraft version:

This time I'm planning to update for new Minecraft versions during the development, so my mod won't be left behind, while the new Minecraft versions come out. I want to get to somewhat the same progress as in the old season, and then update to 26.2. Right now it's just too new.

A little bit about me

Hi, I’m Dulidanci and this is my first mod publicly available. The idea for the mod came last summer, and after planning out a bunch of things, I started development in September of 2024. I had to learn java from scratch and learn Minecraft coding from tutorials, documentations and AI. After the mod got corrupted in December 2025, it was put on hold, but as of June 2026, it had been continued on the newest Minecraft version 26.1.2. I am planning to complete this project before I go to college, but it’s a long way to go, so I would appreciate any help or tip with coding. Also, if anyone has great ideas for future development, make sure to tell me, as it can highly improved the speed of the mod creation.
