In vanilla minecraft, living entities such as the player lose all but 15% of their velocity every second. This is vastly unrealistic, and hence this mod. It is still indev and is not a realistic physics engine, but this mod fixes things such as the removal of 9% of living entity velocity every tick.
Blocks(still indev for testing):
improved_physics:slime_layer
A bouncy layer that can be put on walls. Bouncing is still slightly buggy, as well as the model and placement.
improved_physics:slime_block
A bouncy block with 0 friction. For the floor because slime_layer doesn't quite work with down face enabled.
Neither of these blocks do anything on Valkyrien skies ships, but neither do vanilla slime blocks, so it makes sense that extra work would be required to make it function.
Arrows do not bounce yet because of how they work. Fixing that is planned.\
I am considering implementing the faulty speed cap from Portal and Half-Life so that people can enjoy the chaos of Accelerated Backwards Hopping to get insane speeds.
Current changes:
Moving fast enough makes player movement become uncontrollable mid-air
Prevents mid-air friction
