Markdown in my Minecraft? Its more likely than you think
Minedown is a server-side mod that formats sent chat messages using a markdown-like syntax
Supported styles
- Italics - surround text with
*to make it italic - Bold - surround text with
**to make it bold - Underline - surround text with
_to underline it - Strikethrough - surround text with
~~to add strikethrough - Obfuscation - surround text with
?!to obfuscate it
Planned style support
- Color
- Links
- Obfuscation with hover-to-reveal (spoiler-like)

Do I need to install this client-side?
No, it runs entirely server-side and vanilla clients can connect to servers with only this mod installed
Will I still see the formatting though?
Yes, the server will format the text and broadcast it to all players in its formatted form
Will you add [insert feature]?
Maybe. If it's in the Planned style support section, probably at some point.
If it's not, submit a feature request on the Codeberg issues page
