Climate Based Growth
This mod makes plant growth dependent on biome temperature. Instead of plants growing at the same speed everywhere, they now have a preferred climate.
How it works:
- Optimal Temperature: If a plant is in its favorite climate (e.g., Cactus in a Desert or Spruce in a Snowy Taiga), it grows slightly faster than vanilla.
- Poor Climate: If a plant is in a climate it doesn't like, growth is significantly slowed down.
- Gaussian Scaling: The growth speed scales smoothly. The further the temperature is from the plant's "sweet spot," the slower it grows.
Supported Plants:
- Crops: Wheat, Carrots, Potatoes, Beetroots, Torchflowers, Pitcher Plants.
- Trees: All vanilla saplings, including Mangrove and Cherry.
- Others: Sugar Cane, Cactus, Bamboo, Cocoa, Sweet Berries, Kelp, and Sea Pickles.
- Nether/End: Nether Wart, Fungi, and Chorus Flowers.
Technical:
- Server-Side Only: This mod only needs to be on the server. Clients do not need to install it to join and see the effects.
- Vanilla-Friendly: Does not add any new items or blocks. It only changes the growth logic of existing ones.
