Better Carpets
Better Carpets adds the Carpet Duster, a tool that upgrades carpets into functional carpet blocks.
These enhanced carpets keep the appearance of both the carpet and the block underneath, while allowing players to place blocks that normally require a solid floor.
Features
• Right-click a carpet with the Carpet Duster to convert it into an enhanced carpet block
• Place torches, buttons, pressure plates and other blocks on carpets
• Right-click again to restore the original block and carpet
• Carpet blocks inherit properties from the base block
• Works with most solid blocks
• Falling blocks (sand, gravel) drop the carpet and fall normally
Design decision
Enhanced carpet blocks intentionally do not interact with pistons.
This prevents inconsistent behaviour and keeps the mechanic predictable.
