LegacyAuth
Lightweight mod that restores secure player authentication to legacy servers (e.g., b1.2_02) where online-mode no longer works verifies identities and blocks name spoofing. Additionally, LegacyAuth restores player skins to Beta versions of Minecraft — allowing players to see proper skins once again.
Setup
Authentication (Required on client and server):
- Drop the JAR into the
mods/folder. - Join servers normally
Skins (Client-only):
- Only the client needs the mod installed to restore player skins.
- Works seamlessly even if the server does not have the mod.
