Smarter Furnace is a simple yet revolutionary mod designed to eliminate the complex hopper wiring typically required for Minecraft furnace systems.
In vanilla Minecraft, you must feed fuel into the side and smeltable items into the top of a furnace. This often leads to bulky designs and wasted resources. Smarter Furnace changes this rule, streamlining furnace automation into a single vertical line.
✨ Features Smart Routing: Items entering from a hopper on the top face of the furnace are analyzed intelligently. Fuel Items (Coal, Wood, Lava Buckets, etc.): Are automatically routed to the Fuel Slot, just as if they were inserted from the side. Smeltable Items (Ores, Raw Food, Sand, etc.): Are routed to the Input Slot as normal. Fully Automatic System: You can now fuel and operate your furnace using a single chest and hopper line. No need for complex redstone or item sorters. Universal Compatibility: Works perfectly with the standard Furnace, as well as the Blast Furnace and Smoker. Vanilla Friendly: This mod works entirely on the server-side or in single-player. It does not add new blocks or items, but simply enhances existing mechanics.
❓ How It Works Place a hopper directly on top of your furnace. Put a mix of items into the input chest (e.g., Coal for fuel and Iron Ore for smelting). The mod handles the rest! Coal goes to the fuel slot, Iron Ore goes to the input slot, and your furnace starts running automatically.
