Conductor

by inatorcreator · on Modrinth

lightweight minecraft mod that handles sound from openAL and processing for lower-end devices, removing choppy sound problems and sound-related…

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Fabric only.

⬇ Download for 1.21.6–1.21.11⬇ Download for 1.21–1.21.5
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

Conductor stops Minecraft's audio system from slowing down your game.

Every time a sound plays, Minecraft makes your game wait for it, which can cause lag and micro-stutters. This performance mod aims to remove these issues, and allow people with lower-end CPUs or devices to run a lightweight mod to target a long-standing issue that Minecraft has had for a very long time.

Made to be used alongside Sodium, Lithium, and other performance mods (too many to list here, but it works with all of them. Let me know if you encounter one that does not in my Discord.)

DISCLAIMER: If you are using a sound mod, do not use this mod. it will not work due to conflict issues. I assume if you have the computer to use a mod like Sound Physics or Sound Physics Perfected, you do not need this mod.

This mod is completely client side, no need to be installed on any server.

Let me know if you liked the mod in my Discord server! I appreciate any feedback you might have.
