What's this mod?
NoTextureRestrictions lets servers send you custom textures, like player skins or other visuals without relying on Mojang’s texture servers.
It removes the built-in URL and signature checks, making it possible to use self-hosted or custom texture servers instead.
Perfect for private servers, modded communities, or setups where you want full control over how textures are delivered.
How to use it?
Client-side:
Just install the mod - no configuration needed.
Server-side:
You don’t need to install anything. If you, for example, have a player head that normally uses a texture from textures.minecraft.net, you can change the URL to any other host, and the client will still be able to load it.
