Cyclic Dungeons aims to combine several procedural generation principles to create dungeons that are aesthetic, complex, and deliberately engineered for engaging gameplay.
Every dungeon starts out as a "sentence" that is then rewritten by grammar rules, turned into a structural layout, and generated into the world as a series of individual rooms built from a predefined 2x2x2 tile set appropriate to its function and theme. This ensures that each dungeon and even each room is a unique experience, whilst still being reasonably sensible.
