Book Tattering
In Vanilla, Writen Books can be copied up to two times, before it becomes too degraded to be copied further. The tooltip will show if a book is Original, Copy of Original, or Copy of Copy.
There is another stage, Tattered, that has been in vanilla since 1.8. It functions identical to Copy of Copy, the only difference being the tooltip text. Tattered books are unobtainable in regular suvival. This mod adds a recipe to create them - just craft a Written Book with a pair of Shears in your crafting grid.
Tattered books cannot be copied, so you may want to think twice before tattering an Original copy of a book.
