is a mod that revamps the tool and armor progression system in Minecraft using upgrade templates at the Smithing Table. Instead of crafting each tier separately, you can now upgrade your gear from lower tiers to higher tiers while preserving your hard-earned enchantments.

Upgrade Template System
- 6 New Templates - Introduces Stone, Copper, Iron, Chainmail, Gold, and Diamond Upgrade Smithing Templates.
- Tool Progression - Seamlessly upgrade tools in the Smithing Table: Wood → Stone → Iron → Gold → Diamond.

- Armor Progression - Upgrade your armor tier by tier: Leather → Chainmail → Iron → Gold → Diamond.
- Preserve Enchantments - Upgrading your gear keeps all previously applied enchantments intact.
Template Duplication
- Crafting Recipes - All upgrade templates can be duplicated in a crafting table (Pattern: 8 materials surrounding 1 template to produce 2 templates).
- Progression Costs - Duplication uses materials from the previous tier (e.g., duplicating a Diamond Template requires 7 gold ingots and 1 gold block, while a Stone Template requires 7 sticks and 1 cobblestone).
Enchantment Compatibility
- Unlocked Combinations - The mod allows combining enchantments that are normally mutually exclusive (can be toggled in config).
- Ultimate Armor - All protection types (Protection, Fire Protection, Blast Protection, Projectile Protection) can now be applied to the exact same armor piece.
- Perfect Bows - Bows and crossbows can now have both Infinity and Mending enchantments simultaneously.
- Configurable - This feature can be disabled in
config/forged-path.propertiesif you prefer vanilla enchantment restrictions.
Loot Integration
- World Generation - Upgrade templates can be found naturally as loot in Buried Treasure chests, Simple Dungeon chests, and Stronghold corridor chests.

- Rarity Scaling - Drop weights scale with tier: Stone/Copper (Common), Iron/Chainmail (Uncommon), Gold (Rare), and Diamond (Very Rare).
Where to Find Templates (Quick Guide)
All six templates can appear in the same three locations — Buried Treasure chests, Simple Dungeon chests, and Stronghold corridor chests — but their drop rates differ by tier:

|---|---|---|
| Stone | Common | Turn up quickly in any of the three locations. A good early-game goal before heading to the Nether. |
| Copper | Common | Found alongside Stone templates; easy to obtain early on. |
| Iron | Uncommon | Slightly rarer. Stronghold and dungeon chests are reliable mid-game hunting grounds. |
| Chainmail | Uncommon | Same rarity as Iron. Aim for Stronghold corridor chests once you have a base established. |
| Gold | Rare | Noticeably less common. Farm multiple dungeons or strongholds, or duplicate a single find. |
| Diamond | Very Rare | The hardest to find naturally. Consider duplicating one once discovered rather than searching for more. |
Tip: Once you have any template you can duplicate it in a crafting table (8 surrounding materials + 1 template = 2 templates), so a single lucky find can get you started — even for the rarest tiers.
