A simple solution to making your tab list and chat per world!
A lot of the time, server owners don't have the money or resources to host a large Bungee proxy with several servers connected together. Using PerWorldServer, you can split up the chat and on a per world basis. Sounds awesome doesn't it? It gets better.
With PerWorldServer 4.0, you can now link multiple worlds together in a suite. See the section on Suites for more information!
PerWorldServer 4.0 also offers:
- Addons: PerWorldServer comes packaged with two default addons:
- ServerMessages separates the join and leave messages (which are customizable) to a per world basis.
- GlobalMessages brings back the the classic /global command, allowing admins to monitor the chat in every world, not just their own!
- Developer API: PerWorldServer now has a sleek event-based API allowing you to write your own plugins that easily interact with it.
- Start by downloading the plugin by clicking the blue, Download Now, button in the right corner.
- Once the download has finished, drag the .jar file into your plugins folder.
- Now restart (please, do not reload) your server. The plugin should activate.
- PerWorldServer is now working! Here are some things to note upon installation:
- Upon first load, the plugin will link all of the active worlds in a suite called default. This means your chat will not be separated until you separate all of your worlds into their respective suites.
- A folder named suites will be created. Please do not modify any of the files inside of it. This folder is for plugin use only.
- This plugin has not been tested on 1.8.8 and it probably won't work on that server version. This should be working soon though.
PerWorldServer only has one command, /pws or /perworldserver. Using this command, all of the functionality is at your fingertips.
This command uses the permission pws.* or pws.admin.
Previously called world pairing, suites allow users to link multiple worlds together to share a chat and tab list. Creating suites is quite simple, you can do it following these steps:
- Step 1: Run the command /pws suite create <name>
- Step 2: Remove the world you want to use from the default suite. This can be easily done using /pws suite default remove <world>
- Step 3: Add the world do your new suite using /pws suite <name> add <world>
- That's it! You can link worlds in 3 easy steps. If you need the full list of commands, you can always run /pws suite
PerWorldServer 4.0 offers a comprehensive addons system. This allows addons to be installed in the addons folder (not plugins) that can add to the experience that PerWorldServer offers. By default, PerWorldServer comes with 2 addons:
- ServerMessages separates the join and leave messages (which are customizable) to a per world basis.
- GlobalMessages brings back the the classic /global command, allowing admins to monitor the chat in every world, not just their own! /global uses the permission pws.global
This plugin does have my auto-update checker that is packaged in and enabled by default. It compares your plugin version with the current version of the plugin on SpigotMC and does not download nor modify the plugin. It will notify you when an update is available.
Thanks for reading about my plugin. Again, if you have questions or concerns, please ask them in the discussion!
