I recently started playing corekeeper, in that game enemies spawns are based on carpet like tiles, each with a different set of mobs they spawn randomly. So i thought about making something similar in minecraft to practise modding!
How does it work
there are 3 different "Spawn Floors", crafted with a golden apple and mob specific drops surrounding it. the floors then randomly try to spawn mobs!
Content
- Slime Floors
- Bone Floors
- Rotten Floors
- different spawns based on what biome/dimension they are placed in
Plans for the future
I would love to expand this mod more in the future, add more floors as well as add datapack support to change the spawn rules for the floors and what mobs spawn on them.
Standalone the mod doesnt do much besides help farm mobs, but i am hoping it might find its place in a modpack or two where farming mobs is important :)
