AreaMonitor — Zone Monitoring & Automation Mod

AreaMonitor is a Minecraft 1.20.1 Forge server-side mod that lets you define zones of any shape and control exactly what happens inside them — auto-switch game modes, protect blocks, and trigger custom actions.

What It Does

Define a zone and it just works. Player walks in → switches to creative. Walks out → back to survival. Supports rectangle, circle, and polygon boundaries.

Nine protection rules. Block breaking, placing, interacting, PVP, explosions, entity damage, container access, fluid placement, item drops — each independently toggleable per zone.

Programmable triggers. Play a sound and show a title on enter. Execute commands and teleport on leave. Supports cooldown, debounce, and conditions (hold a specific item, specific weather, minimum online players).

Time scheduling. A PVP arena during the day, automatically disabled at night — zones can enable/disable based on in-game time, with cross-midnight ranges.

Zone chaining. Enter zone A → auto-teleport to B → teleport to C… funnel players through a sequence of zones.

GUI management. No commands needed — open a panel and click to edit zones, protections, triggers, and whitelists.

And more: Item blacklist, global/per-zone whitelists, selection tool (wooden axe + polygon mode), particle boundary display, config hot-reload, one-click backup, usage statistics, Chinese/English localization.
