What does this mod do?

Don't Starve MC brings the hardcore survival experience of Don't Starve to Minecraft. This mod introduces core survival mechanics including the Sanity system, food spoilage, seasonal changes, and temperature management, creating a challenging survival experience that differs from both vanilla Minecraft and the original Don't Starve game.

Key Features

🧠 Sanity System

• A new survival attribute alongside health and hunger
• Visual and audio effects when sanity is low
• Screen distortion and ambient sounds create an immersive experience
• Various factors affect sanity: darkness, monsters, certain foods, and special items like radios

🍖 Food & Spoilage

• Don't Starve-style food items with unique properties
• Food affects health, hunger, and sanity differently
• Spoilage system: food rots over time and becomes compost or fuel
• Monster meat and other special ingredients with negative effects

🎨 Tech Crafting System

• Don't Starve-inspired crafting UI with tech tree progression
• Recipe unlocking system based on player knowledge
• Categorized crafting interface for easy navigation
• Custom recipes that blend Don't Starve and Minecraft mechanics

🌲 Evergreen Forest Biome (Experimental)

• New biome with Don't Starve aesthetic
• Custom trees, saplings, and vegetation
• Berry bushes, grass tufts, and twigs as harvestable resources
• Spider dens that spawn hostile spiders
• use /theconstant to discover the dimension

🐰 Custom Creatures

• Rabbits: Complex AI with burrow mechanics, can be trapped
• Butterflies: Peaceful creatures that drop wings and rarely butter
• Monster Spiders: Aggressive spiders tied to their dens with pack behavior
• Spider Dens: Structures that spawn spiders and emit sanity aura

🧱 Functional Blocks

• Radio: Restores sanity to nearby players
• Berry Bushes: Harvestable and transplantable
• Rabbit Holes: Home for rabbits
• Sticky Webbing: Slows down entities
• Forest Turf: Decorative ground block

🔧 Installation

1. Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.21.10
2. Download and install Fabric API
3. Download and install GeckoLib
4. Place this mod's JAR file in your mods folder
5. Launch the game

• Server-side: Required
• This is a dual-sided mod; both client and server must have it installed

🐛 Known Issues

• Evergreen Forest biome generation may be unbalanced
• Some food recipes are not fully implemented
• Temperature and seasonal systems are not yet available
• Multiplayer compatibility needs more testing
• May conflict with mods that modify world generation or HUD
