Better Screenshots

by Komti23 · on Modrinth

The mod allows you to capture a selected area directly in-game, view and edit the images, and instantly share them to Discord and Telegram

Which Minecraft do you have?

Every version of the game needs its own build. Pick yours, then download — the wrong build installs fine and then does nothing in the game. This mod is built for Forge only.

⬇ Download for 1.20.4–1.20.6⬇ Download for 1.20.1–1.20.3
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.

ScreenshotMod Lite

Take perfect screenshots, edit them right in the game, and instantly share them with friends on Telegram and Discord!

Tired of taking full-screen screenshots, minimizing the game, opening an image editor, cropping the necessary part, and manually dragging it into a messenger? ScreenshotMod Lite fully automates this process. It's not just a screenshot mod — it's your personal in-game media center.

Main Features

Controls (Default)

Telegram Integration Setup

For the mod to send screenshots to Telegram, a one-time setup is required:

  1. Create your personal bot in Telegram and copy its Token.

  2. In Minecraft, go to the mod settings (or the send menu) and paste the token.

  3. Enter your Chat ID (you can find it using the @getmyid_bot) or the ID of a group/channel.

  4. Important: Make sure to click Start (or type /start) in the chat with your bot in Telegram to allow it to send you files!

Want to add a friend to the mod's contacts? Just enter their @username, and the mod will automatically find their ID and load their avatar (your friend must also start your bot beforehand).

Discord Integration Setup

Sending screenshots to Discord works directly through the Webhook system (no need to create any bots).

  1. Go to your Discord server and hover over the desired text channel.

  2. Click the gear icon (Edit Channel) and navigate to the Integrations tab.

  3. Click Create Webhook (or select an existing one) and click the Copy Webhook URL button.

  4. In Minecraft, open the mod settings and paste this link into the Discord Webhook field.

  5. All set! Now, when you click the Discord button in-game, your screenshot will instantly fly into the selected channel.
